I commute to work by bike and have to share the road with traffic not at all accustomed to bicyclists. I wanted the rearview mirror to avoid surprises and close encounters. The mirror itself is only decent. I can tell if a car is coming up behind me, but the detail is poor. While it is fully adjustable, it does not remain in place while you ride. I hae to readjust it many times during my ride, which is annoying. Thirdly, the installation instructions were horrible. Even though a picture is worth a thousand words, sometimes a few words help immensely. The crappy pictures made isntallation twice as difficult as it needed to be. Not a big deal, but along with the rest it adds up to a sub-par product.

Never had a problem with this except for some slight deterioration of the silver b/c of my leaving it in the elements. Otherwise it was my best safety tool in traffic on the bike and worked superbly until I finally busted it on a tree mountain biking. Had to have this model and brand again. I doubt you’ll be sorry you spent the cash for this one.

Sadly very useless otherwise, extremely cheaply made mirror glass has many many mars to a capacity you can even hardly see anything. Have returned it but still havent got a refund, its already way over one week since its been received back.

I bought it because I have one that I bought 8 years ago that works perfectly. Now that I bought a new bike, and give to my kid the old one, I decided to buy a new mirror. My surprise is to see that the mirror is as great as the other, but the reflective part, just the mirror part, is very very poor, not even closer to my first model. Still, I will keep it and I will replace that part gluing a true mirror ove the cheap mirrored plastic that came.
Sad, but it does not reflect with any fidelity what you have behind.
Still I put 3 stars because the rest of the product is great.
