I’ve been using the rack for about 6 months on my 2009 Honda Civic. I’ve have 2 comfort bike and they fit fine. one caution is closely follow the instructions!!!

The rack itself was a great value for the cost, but I could NOT secure it to my vehicle. The fit guide indicated this could be used on an ’05 Beetle, and there were reviews on other sites of how well it worked mounted on a Beetle, but even with a photo sent directly from Yakima showing the optimal location and attachment, I found it unsatisfactory. The side hooks kept sliding down the hatch and could easily slip off – I had the straps so tight it was affecting the curve of the metal, yet continued to work its way down. My bike was practically parallel with the hatch, leaving my tires less than an inch from the vehicle and the angle of the mounting bars meant I had to lift my bike above my head. (I’m 5’8″)I believe if I had glass hatch adapters for all 6 hook points, I could have found a way to make this work.

Just got this rack last week and have used it a couple of times. I love it for the most part except it doesn’t fit our two bikes together. We have one city bike and one cruiser style bike. The problem is there is not enough room for both bikes because, admittedly, the beach cruiser frame is larger than the city bike’s frame. I wish I had gotten the Super Joe 3 to have more wriggle room, however the Super Joe 3 is not eligible for Amazon Prime and would have cost a lot more after shipping charges.

The overall quality is superb and worth the cost. I looked at this exact rack at Sports Authority and it was $120 (plus tax) so this item is a steal here. I recommend it but if you have larger framed bikes and want them on the rack at the same time it may be tricky. I eventually got them both on at the same time but it’s a bit jerry-rigged.

UPDATE 3/8/11:
Now that we have had the rack for a month or so and have used it several times I can say that I would FULLY RECOMMEND this rack. (I added a star to make it a 5-star review.) We moved from Florida to DC last week and carried both bikes on this rack attached to my late model Accord and had ZERO issues. The bikes fit snuggly but securely and, if properly tightened, the rack stays put.
