Brought it for my dog to ride in instead of having to hook up her trailer every time I wanted to ride my bike. She loves it as well. Made her a pillow for the bottom… it’s great! The basket is nice & large enough to carry just about anything. Great buy!!!! We purchased this basket with the express intent of using it as dog basket. It easily carries our 10lb cotton ball with teeth. As shared by other reviewers, it is a large heavier built basket. Well constructed with coated metal. You can notice a difference in the ride dynamics of the bike but my wife quickly adjusted to the difference. If you’re looking for a large basket this one works great, else opt for the smaller basket by the same manufacturer. Big Basket. Good size. Can place several kid’s backpacks in it. Can fit a good sized picnic basket. Had to buy some longer extenders because the ones that came with didn’t reach all the way to the frame. A little heavy due to its size. I just received my basket yesterday and I love it. It was quite easy to install. I have added a piece of foam covered with some fabric so that it is a little more comfortable for my 10lb Pomeranian and he really seems to enjoy it. I am really looking forward to taking him for a long ride. It is also going to be great for trips to the store to pick up a few items, probably several items. If I had any complaints, it would be that there was not enough protection in the packaging when it was shipped. There were a couple of dents in the metal but they were very easy to straightened out.
