This basket is good and sturdy, but it does not fit well if you want to put your handlebar into a vertical upright postion. The basket relies on a brace that pushes against the bike stem to make it stable. The brace’s angle is for the standard bike where the handlebar has a slight lean forward. If you put the handlebar in the most upright position, the basket will be too high, and will block the headlight if you put one on.

I ordered this basket to carry various small items my children and I pick up on our rides. The frame and basket are very sturdy and the basket does not come off when I ride my mountain bike over curbs or rough terrain. I recommend it highly.

Like you, I read reviews on a number of bike baskets but bought this one (mostly because of the good reviews.)

Those reviewers were also honest, this product is pretty good. Once assembled the basket is fairly large, sturdy and attractive.

My only complaint was the instruction sheet. It was mostly useless because it was really vague. Common sense ensued and I figured it out.

I needed to be creative in my assembly because my bike had several cables that prohibited normal installation.

I’d recommend this bike basket, it’s worth the price.

This is a good looking and well-made basket. Installation is easy and it’s sturdy enough to carry locks or milk or produce from the farmer’s market. The fine mesh keeps little stuff from falling out. It locks securely on the rack and comes off easily when you need it.

The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the brace on the back rests awkwardly against the stem. It has found it’s own equilibrium, but it prevents the basket from being perfectly vertical. Just enough to aggravate you if you’re OCD but not enough to cause any real problems.
