Nice basket and handy. The connection to the bike seat frame did not work, so I tied it with a shoestring, so far it works. Got lots of compliments from other women while exploring Fl. last winter I use it to carry jacket, water bottle, snacks. It is not black, but plain metal color.

I didn’t bother to measure anything or try to make sense of stuff, so it didn’t end up fitting properly. Anyway, I MacGuyver’d up a solution (with a hacksaw, pvc pipe, screws, and paint) so now it works.

Fit the bike and is both sturdy and adjusts easily. A talented person was involved here.

It’s a really solid basket, and I’m happy with it now that I’ve got the darn thing installed, but my friend and I spent about an hour taking my bike apart and trying to find some way to attach it. We ended up bending the basket frame and screwing the top arm-thingie to the bike seat itself since the bracket was far too small to get around the seat post of my not-terribly-hefty mountain bike.
Also, it’s not wide enough at the bottom for a gable carton of juice. This becomes an issue when one wants to bike groceries home and has to strap wider items to the top of the basket, just to note. I’d imagine it’s just fine for textbooks or whatnot.
