I wanted a secure, larger-sized sturdy basket for my older classic Schwinn. We’re planning a trip to Sanibel Island and will be taking our chihuahua.
I am VERY pleased with this basket. It installed in just a few minutes and fits perfectly on my bike.Once on I took my 11 lb. girl for a spin. It takes only a few minutes to adjust to the additional weight of the basket & dog on the bike. And she adored the ride!
Looks like we’re headed to the beach!
You can’t go wrong making this purchase=a generous, sturdy basket for a very low price.

What can you say. Wald has been around forever & are still some of the best baskets available. They work especailly well with the retro-cruisers that are now gaining in popularity. The basket fits and is easy to install. quality materials mean it will last forever…AND, I’m always happy to buy a product “made in the U.S.A.”!

A very nicely sized bike basket that was quite easy to install. The only problem was that the nuts and bolts package was short a nut (included 1 rather than 2).

I recently bought a 1980s Schwinn World Tourist to commute on. With the economy being what it is, I only spent $25 on the bike. It came with fenders, which were a must-have, but I still needed a way to carry my lunch box. The Wald 139 basket fit the bill!

I had contemplated purchasing the giant basket offered by Wald, but looking at the pictures and reviews decided this size was a more livable option. The basket arrived quickly and was packaged very well. I was surprised how light the box was when I picked it up; a good thing! Installation was a snap, just two bolts on the handlebar mounts then just removing the nuts from the front wheel to put on the supports. The only thing remotely difficult was trying to find the best routing for the shifter and brake cables. It mounts very securely and is light enough to not make too big a difference when unloaded.

I’ve used it a few times now and really enjoy it. When riding I barely notice it’s there, aside from the clunking of the
stonehands
