This is a good looking bike when completed, Dings was in the chrome fender(s), missing screws (3), paint job with flaws, bearings needed replacement in less than one week. I,m glad I am with Amazon…still holding out for one more thing to go wrong before returning. I bought one for my girl from Walmart, same problems and she would now prefer an old bike that just works (I’m getting married in 6 months). Manual is worthless, quality is worst only 2nd to the ride when parts go bad in less than a week. I took a chance, don’t we all in life. DON’T DO IT, get any bike old or new from a REAL company.

After assembly was completed I took the bike for a short ride to check adjustments and etc. The crank assembly was not assembled correctly by the factory and the bearings were way too loose in the frame. I tried to loosen the locking nut to adjust the bearing race as described in the owners manual. The nut would not move because it had been crossed threaded at the factory. There was no other way to tighten the assembly so I contacted Amazon customer service. They called me immediately and took care of my problem by authorizing return of this bike. They provided me with a return UPS label via email. A new bike was placed on order and shipped next day via Fedx. I was very satified with the excellent service that Amazon provided for its customers. I am looking forward to the arrival of the new bike tomorrow. I received my replacement bike and it was in perfect condition. After assembly and all adjustments were completed I took the bike for a two mile ride. Everything worked p

After looking at similar bikes in this same price range I selected the Schwinn “Lakeshore” Even though it has a steel frame, it’s a tad lighter then the Cruiser and it has a 7 speed Shamano, in line brakes, alloy rims, fenders, etc. and as a plus, you get a rear rack to carry things on. Pluse, it’s a USA company to support. The reviews are better for the Lakeshore too.

This bike was very easy to assemble and a pleasure to drive, I ride it every day to work, 8 Blocks and have been for a month without a problem. Have put it on my carrier and transported to the Beach for a 26 mile ride down Topsail Island NC. It has plenty of gear selection for these environments. The only thing thats missing is a basket to carry liquid refreshments.
