For the price, it is a good unit. Replacing an old one with same, so yeah I like it.

While I’m not using this to pump water, I find that while it works as advertised there is a serious leak between the handle and the base. This happens mostly when left in the primed position, but even when not in prime position it has a slow leak at the same location. I don’t know if this is a defect, or a feature. Guess that you get what you pay for (sigh).

Hate to say it but I gave up on these. 3 of the last 5 I’ve either purchased or received as replacements have leaked at the handle seal. Valterra was great at sending replacements but how can such a simple product have such a failure rate? I’m referring to out-of-the-box failure.
