I purchased 2 of the Topeak one up wall mounts once I found where I wanted to hang mountain bike’s in the garage had them up and assembled in a matter of minutes using a screw drill. Units come with there own 2 inch screws and anchors. I mounted into studs so I used a larger 3 inch deck screws. I like the idea that you can hang your helmet and backpack on the hanger bar hooks so when you use the MB again every things in one place. I have tried many type hangers and these are a a quality item.

These are nice-looking bike hangers, but not worth the cost or effort. The amount of time, effort and tools required to mount properly, as compared to a simpler hanger, or better yet, a $1 rubber-covered ceiling hook, completely overrides the minimal benefits gained through appearances. If you are going to purchase these, some words of warning: give yourself at least 18 inches between the top of the hanger and the ceiling or you won’t be able to fit the wheel onto the hook. Also, know that you cannot reverse the hook so that the wheel hanger is on the left; the wheel guide cover will only mount on the hanger as shown, on the right. I wanted to hang my bikes a bit further apart to avoid tangling cables and handlebars, but wanted to utilize the space in between to hang equipment from the hooks — no can do. Bottom line: I would not buy these again.
