Third Eye Round Helmet Mirror – Reviews

First let me say that the product performs as advertised. I use a bar end mirror on my commuter bike and love it. I bought this one to use when I ride my carbon road bike. The problem is that it doesn’t work well with my helmet. I ride with one of those tear drop shaped foam helmets (round front, tapering in the back) and this mirror just isn’t designed to mount to the thick edges. I jury rigged a way to mount the mirror to the helmet but it sits too high in my field of vision, I have to peer up and to the left to see it which takes my eyes off the road in front of me. I need to look for a different solution or buy a different helmet. You can see more of my bike gear at [...]

I had a mirror before, but not one that was easily mounted with my visor. This one works very well. The mirror is a bit biggger than my last one which makes it even better to spot those approaching vehicals. I would reccomend this product.

There is no way to mount this so that it gives a view behind you. The stem is much too short,
so that anywhere you put it on the helmet visor, it is too high to see comfortably, and the mirror is so small and so far from your eye that it’s impossible to make anything out in it. Useless, don’t waste your money.

This seemed like a decent enough mirror to get the job done, but it was not. It fell apart in the first mile. I put it back together but it is not adjustable enough to see rear approaching traffic effectively. Try one that has more adjustability.
