Sunlite Cloud 9 Bicycle Suspension Comfort Saddles Comfort Gel Mens Tri Color Lycra – Reviews
This seat is a huge improvement in terms of comfort over the stock seat on my Trek road bike. The major downside is that the plastic housing for the springs prevents a quick-release underseat storage pouch from being easily attached. I’m pretty sure I can rig something, and it’s a fair trade off for the upgrade in comfort.

For most recreational riders, seat discomfort is usually one of the biggest complaints. I’m no different and was looking for a saddle that I could sit on for more than a half hour without wondering why I was so foolish as to ride any more. And with an extra 30lbs on my 6-4 frame that I’m trying to get rid of, the standard “ergonomic” seats didn’t cut it. I needed padding that was more than half an inch thick and was squashed to nothingness when sat upon.
This Cloud 9 seat is as close as I’ve come to finding a truly comfortable seat. My only complaint that stops me from giving this a 5 star rating is that the horn of the seat is a bit too wide and you are forced to scoot up on the seat to avoid rubbing sensitive areas.
The seat is wide (10 1/2 inches) and heavy and looks a bit out of place on my road machine, but who cares if you are riding in comfort for a decent length of time so as to actually do some good? In any event, my ample backside does a good job of concealing it. An

The seat is really as good as those at twice the price. My problem, and it is MY problem, is the abrasion to the crotch. This seat is more comfortable to the buns and other areas but still chafes some sensitive areas. I’ve tried several and will stick to this and lubricant as the seat is, otherwise, super.

I’ve tried three diffrent seats. I went from riding 3 miles at a time to 9 miles. could have gone further. Nice seat!
UPDATE! I’ve now gone 1000 miles on it. After 44 miles, it became very painfull!
It took two days of adjustments-up, down, forward, back, tilt forward, tilt back. 3 mile test rides after each adjustment. It finally feels right. No pain. No numbness. No aching knees. I wish there was a way to try out seats before you buy them. All in all, I am finally satisfied. After reading the articles online about selecting a saddle and adjusting it, I think I got it right.
