Shimano PD M520L MTB Sport Pedals with Cleats – Reviews
Double entry facilitates this pedal especially clip in. Open design sheds mud easily. If you’re not a mountain cyclist and you are looking for an affordable in clip pedal that is well designed, then look no further.

These are quite light and require as little attention as you can imagine. The retention mechanism is easily adjustable. Simplicity SPD!

In the short time I have had these pedals only have used them a couple of times (due to inclement weather). The few times that I’ve used I have noticed them a huge difference in the amount of effort that must be exercised while pedaling. Antes_de get in the pros and cons, a couple of things to know: 1.) who have not ridden my bike in 3 months of winter (rain, snow, cold, etc.); (2.) I have a 3700 TREK, and as such, I have bought these pedals with the intention of using them on the road; (3.) wear shoes of Pearl Izumi X-Alp Enduro; (4.) have bought these pedals now for whatever he could get used to the feeling of them prior to driving the paths in the spring/summer; (5.) Routinely amount with other users of motorcycles.
It is out of the way, here is my opinion:
(1.) Compared to what I’ve seen with road bike pedals, the learning curve for the input and output in these pedals is much lower; I learned the method clip-in/clip output very quickly
(2) Adjustable tension is a great advantage. I have my pedals on the lowest setting up I used to use them. He has not decided if it will be to increase or not
(3.) Even with the tension on the lowest setting, my feet feels as if they were securely in place while pedaling (up and down strokes);
(4.) The pedals are enough broad that if I am not cut in for whatever reason, I can still pedal; Although without much power, but you will get in the way if they are crossing the street after being arrested (red light, signal stop, traffic, etc.).
(5.) The pedals are expensive double ticket which is very convenient
(It was very easy to install these 6 pedals.)
(7.) Pedals have really made a big difference in how much time I can ride before exhaustion begins to establish.
(Price 8.) It is hard to beat, especially with a set of clips included.
(9.) I have read that they say these pedals are heavier than the M540s, etc….Well, they are heavier that the pedals actions that came with the bike, but I do not believe that the weight is such that they will make a difference to the average driver
Everything I’ve been happy with my purchase. Along the way, the pedals have been useful in the implementation of the people I ride with the use of road bikes. I did research for approximately a month before that I bought these pedals. And many people really like them, as does. I will try to update this review when I start to trail riding once again, but that it is months… so until then, I will continue using them on the road.
