Okay, I’ll admit I’m not the most crafty person in the world but the really vague and poorly written instructions included with this stand is just plain lazy. I eventually tore up the one-page instructions and figured it out on my own based on the picture on the box and Internet. I’m still not 100% sure I got it right but I’m pretty sure I did.

I’ve used it for a few minor tuneups/cleanings for my mountain bike and it is adequate though not as sturdy as advertised. You will probably have to stabalize the bike a bit with your hand while working on it (as others have said). I just don’t feel completely confident that it won’t tip over without my help.

Again, for the price this is probably the portable best bike stand you can get and does the job for the most part.

I had to buy a different one. Bike doesn’t sit in it evenly, so the cranks can’t turn, and besides, it’s always in danger of falling off. And I’m talking about a 17-lb race bike.

Put your money toward a useful stand.

This is not a bad stand for the basic homeowner use to perform routine maintenance on their bicycle. It by no means replaces a high-quality repair stand. I do agree with other reviews that the instructions are far from clear and should be improved… Ikea uses very elementary pict-o-grams which are far clearer than these were. That being said, if your mechanically inclined enough to repair/tune a multi-speed bike you can figure this thing out by looking at the picture. Additionally, the clamp to secure the bike in place is mediocre at best, but does the job as long as your not jostling the bike too much.

Overall, I think it’s got pretty good bang for the buck. My bikes are all fully tuned up and ready for the warm season and some sweet rides. I wish I had bought it sooner!

If you are seriously considering to purchase a bike stand to actually work on your bicycle, this one is not worth it. Not even the cost savings. Rad Cycle Product’s bicycle stand has horrible assymbled instructions and once the stand is up good luck keeping the bike on there while you are working. I’m definately going to have to purchase a new stand.
Not worth it when the bike you’re working on may be worth more than your car and you’re worried the bike may fall off, due to cheap mounting parts.
