These bars set up higher than most aerobars which makes them more comfortable, probably less aerodynamic though. I purchased these bars for my mountain bike so that I could rest my wrist while riding (I injured my wrist several years ago and have had multiple surgeries on it). The clamps that come with the bars fit a 25.4mm diameter bar, if you add the included shims they fit a 22.2mm bar. So far they seem durable, and fit my bike well. The padding on the bars is very comfortable as are the blocks of padding for your elbows.

VERY comfortable. I highly recommend. I used to get uncomfortable at 12 miles into ride. I find these are a great rest and change of position. They did come loose at the clamps, so I would recommend keeping your wrench on your bike just in case…

I had this bar on my last bike, and totally love it. I’m buying a new one for my new bike.
The bars are very comfortable, when used for their intended purpose, but that’s just one aspect. I have back problems, and have never found another bar that can be easily used for multiple hand positions. The foam pads are perfect for elevating yourself on your hands. As a full time rider, (no car for 16yr,) I have also found this bar useful for carrying large or awkward loads, (ie. balances a large turkey, or my laundry bag with ease.) I had this set-up on a Diamondback Flat-bar roadbike, and will be putting the new one on the same style Giant, not sure how it works with drop bars.
