The item I received was not the item pictured. The pictured item is the “Ironman” edition, the set of bars I received was not.

Love these bars. Easy to install and doesn’t add drag. Also very comfortable overall. Only note of concern is it took forever for them to arrive, so if you are interested in getting the bars on your bike quickly, this is not the way to purchase them.

Dear Profile Design: Please accept this Amazon review as a respectful suggestion. Your “Carbon Stryke” aero bars have awesome potential, but are more than twice as heavy as they need to be. The clamps attaching the aero bar to the handlebar, and the armrests which are made of solid, heavyweight aluminum, weigh more than the bars. One of your reps seemed to disregard the issue as insignificant. If Profile were to either hollow out the clamps and drill holes in the armrests, or utilize carbon fiber for both, the Stryke would be the best clip-on aero bar on the market, bar none (pun intended)! Sure hope you think seriously about it. I’d love to use my Strykes again.

The Carbon Stryke aerobars are awesome. Lightweight, secure when properly mounted, comfortable to rest your elbows and hands on.

The catch is that it’s not for everyone. I put the aerobars on my bike and found that I can’t use it very much, because of the urban terrain I ride in– You don’t want to be in the aero position when riding down a stretch of urban street full of cracks and potholes– You will lose your balance and wipe out. Don’t ask me how I know.

I have since removed this set of aerobars from my road bike and put it on my time-trial bike instead. A very nice kit, but definitely not for casual / everyday urban-riding use!
