I was over all pleased with my first Pearl iZUMi Elite Barrier Convertible Cycling Jacket. It was impossible for motor vehicles to miss it and it did a great job of shedding water and wind. I love the way the arms come off and quickly make it into a vest. My only gripe is that the color was fading quite a bit prior to a high speed wreck that shredded most of the jacket and left me in the hospital. After some months of rehab I bought another copy of this jacket and would do so again. It’s well made, light weight, versatile, visible, and comfortable. It fits well but still allows some layering as temperatures drop.

I just got this jacket and love it! I have worn it in 20-30 degree weather. So far it has keeps me warm. It breathes very well. I like the collar that zips up quite high on your neck.
We are doing RAGBRAI this year. I got one of these for my wife too. I am hoping it will keep us dry and warm in rainy conditions. The color seems very visiable. It seems to pack well. I am very pleased with the jacket so far.

I bought this in Feb 2011. I have used it for both mountain and road riding with temps in the upper 20s to lower 30s and it works great . It keeps the wind off while not being too heavy or bulky. Wearing the vest is also great for those upper 40s to lower 50s days. I highly recommend this product.
