Park Tool PRS 4W Deluxe Wall Mount Repair Stand – Reviews

Eric

To REALLY work on a bike, one needs a very solid repair stand. When it comes to solidity, one gets what one pays for. Over the years, I’ve learned that I can “cut corners” on some of my tools…but not my repair stands. Why? Often it takes some “cold forming” to pound a bicycle back into shape and the repair stand had better be up to the force of the hammer blows.

On the road, I use a Park PRS-15 Professional Race Stand. At home, I use a Park PRS-4W stand. I have lag-bolted the PRS-4W to a sistered pair of 2 X 4 premium pine studs that are firmly attached to one of the studs within my garage wall. When not in use, I remove the clamp portion of the stand from its base so folks don’t collide with it.

I took mine and mounted it to a pipe I had welded on a piece of steel plate like you see at bike shops and it has worked great for me when I need to clean or work on my bike
