Park Tool PMP 5 Dial Adjust Frame Pump – Reviews
I was looking for a frame pump that didn’t rattle while riding, was light and affordable, and most of all, that could fit on different bikes. This is it! It provides a good pressure, looks good and matches my colours.
4 out of 5 because I thought it would fit between the seat tube and the bottom bracket. I fell short close to 2″. Still, I’ll recommend it to anyone.

I was looking for a frame pump which fit under the top tube of my Surly Long Haul Trucker 62cm touring bike. The good news that it fits. Pump appears to be the same high quality like other Park tools.

I bought this for my hybrid bicycle.
The pump fits the frame nicely.
It is adjustable to accomodate different
frame sizes. Although it takes a while
to inflate a bike tube, it works great.
It has fallen off my bike twice, still
works fine. I recommend it.

So, the bad: 100 pumps gets you 40 psi in a 700x25c racing tire. If you are shooting for 100psi, you’ll be a while.
And, the good: The adjustable length for compression fit on different bikes or different positions on the frame is simply fantastic. If you have multiple bikes with different geos or just uncertain what size frame pump you want – problem solved. My bikes are 54cm to 58cm, perfect. Additionally, the head mechanism is a good tight fit, switching presta to schrader is quick and easy and the lever lock works perfectly.
But, the jury is out: On the ruggedness of the pump. The adjust mech. is just a plastic tab, and the pump feels a little fragile (but light). Whether this will launch from your bike after the first bad pothole or collapse under the strain of that 500th pump to get your tire to full pressure…I’m not so sure.
For the money, no real risk. My other frame pump is headed to the trash.
