The CM-5 Cyclone Chain Scrubber uses an extra large solvent reservoir and a series of rotating brushes to get chains really clean. A magnet at the bottom of the Cyclone’s solvent reservoir draws particles scrubbed from the chain, effectively keeping them from being redistributed on the chain during cleaning. Durable sponge material draws solvent from the chain as it exits the Cyclone, reducing drips and mess. To make it easy to control and use, we’ve even added a handle. Works with all multi-speed bikes and some single-speed models.

I have owned two. They work well, but if you drop of ~ 3 feet (the height at which you’ll use it on a bike stand) they break. Each broke out on the first drop. It would be a good product if they simply made a less fragile plastic. It is a tool and tools get dropped.

Crossing a dirty chain… wonders…Well built. Details little help. This is certainly of high quality. The price is not super cheap, but it is reasonable and worth every penny! I have no fear of its breakdown to the bottom or if dysfunction early. Easy to use. Very robust.

I used before string cleaners, so I was very disappointed when it broke in its first use. He clean the chain, but clips that hold the lid in place are ‘ too tight. If you buy one, you can relax before wire clips for use. I will replace by Nashbar chain cleaner.[...]
