The BBT-9 is used to remove and install Shimano® Hollowtech II bottom brackets. One end of the BBT-9 securely engages the 16 notches of the bottom bracket cups, while the other end engages the 8 internal splines of the crank arm adjustment cap. Also fits the Campagnolo Ultra-Torque bottom bracket cups.

My title says it all. I have both tbis tool and the socket version. My bottom bracket was way to tight for this tool and it was hard to keep this from stripping the groves. The socket is easier to control and put the necessary torque into. The tool itself is fine but was not what I needed.

Yeah it’s a bit pricey, but it works very well and really its not to bad of a price for a custom tool. Park makes great tools and I appreciate that.

The park tool is designed for is purpose to remove eternal bearing bottom brackets. IT worked flawslessly installing my new gxp ext. bottom brackets…i dont quite know what the black wheel does but o well, the other end is perfect!

It did the job of removing the bottom bracket from one bike and installing on the other. I can’t complain.
