Klean Kanteen Wide Mouth Water Bottle 64 oz. – Features
Dishwasher-safe, eco-friendly, high-quality stainless steel water bottles from Klean Kanteen offer a great alternative to plastic and lined metal bottles. Constructed of food-grade #304 stainless steel, Kleen Kanteen bottles are BPA-free and 100 percent recyclable.

An all-stainless steel interior, 18/8 stainless caps, and stainless steel threads mean the bottles won’t retain or leach flavors, so you get a fresh, clean, crisp drink every time. Because Klean Kanteen bottles are constructed of food-grade stainless steel, they’re not coated with a plastic or epoxy lining like aluminum bottles.

The new wide mouth line of bottles have an opening more than two inches in diameter, which makes filling, pouring, and cleaning the bottle a cinch, and the universal thread design works with most standard backcountry water filters without an adapter. With the Klean Kanteen Wide, you have even more earth- and body-friendly choices.

They come in five sizes, ranging from 12 to 64 ounces, and all come in pure, shiny brushed stainless steel. The wide bottles are shorter and more compact than Klean Kanteen Classic bottles but incorporate the same slim design, meaning sizes up to 27 ounces fit in most cup holders. They also come standard with the Stainless Loop Cap, which works seamlessly with the S-Biner, so it’s a snap to clip it right onto a shoulder strap or pack.

BPA-free & eco-friendly with reformulated spout is now 6x stronger
Made of 18/8, food-grade stainless steel, no liner needed
Doesn’t retain or impart flavors
Slim design fits in most cup holders

Klean Kanteen Wide Mouth Water Bottle 64 oz. – Reviews

I researched for probably far too long before selecting this water bottle, but it is a winner. I have the 20 oz size. The stainless finish is beautiful and, while I was afraid of scratching, it has proven very durable. Even the inside of the cap is stainless, so there is essentially no contact between your beverage and anything but steel — making the bottle easy to clean and ensuring no plastic-y taste transferred to your drink.

But the best feature by far is the vacuum insulation. It works incredibly well for both hot and cold beverages. Hot chocolate poured in the morning was still too hot to drink outside in a Boston winter (35 degrees F that day) at 3pm that afternoon. As the empirical test (I’m an engineer, can’t help myself), I filled the bottle with ice, then poured water all around the ice and closed the top, leaving it out on my dining room table at room temperature. I checked on it every 6 hours or so and finally, over two days later at a total of 54 hours, there w

I was skeptical about paying $25 for a WATER BOTTLE at first, but my girlfriend bought one and I liked it, and I also had an Amazon gift card burning a hole in my pocket, so I thought, what the heck…

Well, I must say the ‘Kanteen’ did not disappoint.

Aesthetically, the design is pleasing — diameter fits well in the hand, not too narrow or wide, even with the added thickness of the insulating vacuum-layer. Wide mouth is much nicer than the normal sized ones of other water bottles. Cap is sturdy, stylish, simple. The entire thing looks and feels well-made of quality materials.

Now, that’s all nice, but does it make for a $25-worthy bottle?

I wouldn’t have said so until I found out just how well this thing insulates. I filled it up with ice water Tuesday night, so I could have some water by the bed overnight. I woke up Wednesday morning, opened it up — still a lot of ice in there! I drank some, then, on a hunch, closed it back up and left it all day while I was at work. Wednesda

This is a good insulated bottle, cold and hot liquids stay hot for several hours. The only downside is that you have to take off the top by untwisting it to drink from and that is not really convenient when you only have one hand free. Also, they sell a optional top which you can drink from, but it is not leak proof so that is not really a better option. So, if Klean Kanteen comes out with a leak proof cap that you can drink from, this item would easily get 5 stars from me.

For keeping cold liquids cold, stainless steel insulated containers are the absolute best. I’ve tried double wall plastic bottles and they’re less than half as effective at insulating liquids as stainless steel. I already have two other stainless insulated bottles — a 12-ounce Thinksport and a 26-ounce Thermos hydration bottle. But I wanted something in between in size and the 16-ounce Kleen Kanteen fit the bill perfectly.

How does it compare to the Thinksport and Thermos? All are equally great and effective at keeping cold drinks very cold for an extremely long period of time. I can fill any of these three bottles up with ice water at 7 in the morning, and 12 hours later the water will still be icy cold. So if you’re trying to decide among different brands, it all comes down to capacity, shape, and the type of cap(s) each offers.

The Klean Kanteen, especially with the cafe cap, is the best for an office/desk or home environment. Its shape compared to Thinksport and Thermos is l
