Hobson Pro Hub X2 saddle – Reviews

The seat is excellent; extremely comfortable for long rides. The best model that Hobson has made. It is not really geared for cyclists racing in the most aerodynamic position. For road bikes, it works best if the handlebars are slightly above the seat. It works best for cycists preferring comfort over aerodynamics.

much more comfortable than other split-saddles, and seems very durable after 1 year–just bought a 2nd for my other bicycle. i tried the Hobson Easy Seat and some of the other no-nose saddles, but this one is sturdier and more comfortable for short and long rides. only complaint–the saddle shifts the weight from butt to arms, so i do notice a little more vibration and stress in my arms with drop-handlebars.

I have been commuting using this bike seat for about 5 months (approximately 100 hours of biking time) and remain enthralled.
I’ve tried a number of “men-friendly” bike seats in the past and this is by far the best. It lets you adjust the space between the two sections to minimize pressure on your sensitive areas. It also has a section that remains between your legs to avoid the feeling that you lack control. Lastly it’s very comfortable. I do feel that I’m riding a very little bit more slowly on this seat than on a regular one, but I really really don’t mind that. Indeed, I still pass many bikers.

I’m 53, 210 pounds (should be 175-180), and I love this seat. I’ve tried several different types, but this is the only one that was comfortable for me.

I ride a mountain bike with front suspension, 75% road and 25% trails.
