I was really excited to get this helmet. The color is great, I especially like the colored straps.
The pads inside the helmet are also very comfortable and sufficiently thick.
HOWEVER, I am returning this helmet because it sits very large on your head. The front view of your head when wearing this helmet is alien-like. Really, really big. I realize that any helmet will make your head look slightly bigger, but this was ridiculous. I previously owned a Pro-Tec, which I owned for many years and suggest as an alternative to this helmet. Also, I have bought as a replacement for this helmet a Nutcase helmet, which also sits much smaller on your head and is very comfortable.
Furthermore, I caution buyers to look at the return policy — 15% restocking fee PLUS shipping. I suggest you go to a bike store and try on this helmet before buying one online because I would definitely not have bought this helmet if I had seen it in-person.
That being said, if you don’t mind the size, it is a quality helmet, the materials are comfortable and durable. But please use caution when thinking about buying this.

I ordered a large helmet for my 5’8″ teenager. It was huge. It is a nice helmet. I am returning it for a medium size. Sports Authority sells these helmets for about the same price. It would be a good place to try on sizes. I ordered on Amazon, in order to get a specific color.

How can I rate a helmet before I crack my head? It fits and it came quickly. Next time a car hits me and my head has ground/car contact I will update with more info!

I like the look of these helmets (especially in the matte black) and ordered a large because my head is HUGE. Cant buy a fitted cap huge. I was surprised to find that the large fits well, but the helmet offers very little padding inside, so if it is ever called to do its job, im sure my bell will be ringing a bit. As for the guy who thought a (L) for a 5’8” boy was appropriate, that’s crazy. Only three sizes so use common sense when ordering.
