Ergon GP1 Performance Grip (Large) Measures 130mm ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. I love these new grips! They install very easily and securely, the look good, and they feel great. Not only are they more comfortable than my old grips, but they feel much more secure to hold on to since they are well shaped and have very gripping, sticky-but-not-sticky surface pads. Two things to consider: This are NOT compatible with gripshift shifters (though Ergon does sell shorter grips that are)but they work great with trigger/quick shifters. Also, one of the plastic end-caps refuses to settle all the way in and always pokes out about 1mm despite my attempts to push it in. Hardly an issue, but I thought I’d mention it. All around, a very high quality item. Highly recommended. I have these on my hardtail MTB and they are excellent. After 3 years they have held up pretty good, I typically leave my MTB chained up outside and the sun has gotten to the rubber in the center and made it sticky. They do however still hold up, and are very very comfortable. Any bike I ever own will get these grips no question. The grips come in several different size ranges as another poster mentioned. I purchased the “small” sized, 132mm length grips for a common MTB SRAM “click-shifter” rig. The Ergon grips are outstanding in texture, ergonomics, and value. I replaced the previous OEM grips on my bicycle as they were uncomfortable – rubber tire-like texture and a small size (diameter/thickness-wise). The Ergon Grip P-1Mg causes a noticeable positive shift in weight distribution – a more balanced and comfortable feel. I believe the “small” size would be better described as a medium/standard (non-gender-specific) size without having seen the “large”. 5’6 170 lb male and the size “small” grips fit my hands well – they may even be a slight margin large but not uncomfortably so. Keep this in mind when selecting sizes. Upgrading to these grips can be compared to replacing a stock seat on a bicycle – from uncomfortable OEM to “what have I been missing”. I have been cycling for over 15 years, and always used to get pain in my wrists and numbness in my fingers. Not knowing there was anything that I could do about it, I rode in pain. Not anymore! After installing these grips, I went for a ride to test them out. Immediately I knew that I had made a wise choice in purchasing them. These grips are fantastic, and anyone would benefit from using them. Not only do they provide a pain-free ride (wrists and hands), but they also give me much beter control of my bike. Even if you are a weigh-weenie – GET THESE GRIPS! Also, unlike regular grips, the Ergons are easy to install. The 4mm alan key adjustment screw means that you can get the position just right and it will stay that way.
