This basket is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It looks great on my beach cruiser–it really does look like a nice rattan basket! In fact, however, it is made of tough wire. This is not a flimsy wicker basket (as I have accidentally purchased before!). I feel confident carting a heavy bag of groceries around or riding with all of my gear in it as I take the few mile trek down to the beach. The sides are high enough, too, where you typically don’t need to worry about your bag or items bouncing out.
It attaches very easily to the rear rack on your bike–just clip it on and clip it off! It also has the added security of a sturdy velcro strap to ensure that it does not slide off the rack while you are riding. When at your destination, just unclip it and carry it (by the convenient handle) down to the beach or into the grocery store–EASY! I got compliments on my cute basket the first time I used it at the beach.
The seller (BikeSomewhere)got the product to me early, which was a nice surprise. I had asked them a question about the basket on their website and, though it took a few days, they got back to me with the info I needed. The basket arrived with a dent in the frame, but one of my strong friends should be able to bend it back into place.
Overall, great product, especially for the price!
