I call all the local shops, and for the most basic models they all wanted $30. I was able to buy a pair of these mounts for less then $30 total, free shipping, got it in 3 days, no complaints.

The product is well built, solid, elegant, doesn’t look like made in china quality, it works, it does what it is meant to do. No complaints, recommended.

After mounting the bikes a couple of times for a short run to the local bike trail, I stop using this device, too much hassle, I just trow the bike on the back of the truck and go…

Really amazing product! For twenty six dollars shipped, I have a really neat mounting setup in the back of my truck that protects two bikes from theft and getting damaged by laying down unsecured.

I just installed 4 delta locking fork hitches to a trailer. Attachment was easy and there is a tube between fork end to keep the mount from deflecting when the cam is tightened. I have mounted a Tandem road bike, a Madone road bike and a mountain bike. Seemed fine. I have not tried to put a padlock on yet, but hole is large so should fit almost any padlock. MY only issue is that the mounting holes are not very offset from the tube above. That made using power tools difficult to fasten lag screws through the holes. Not a problem with an open end/ box end wrench.

I bought this because it is lockable, it looked like it would mount perfectly to the utili-track system in my Nissan Frontier and it’s inexpensive compared to the competitors. Everything works great. It’s very sturdy and with my mountain bike mounted I can close the tailgate with a couple of inches to spare. It can be hard to open if you don’t adjust it correctly, but that means it’s more secure. I just throw a screwdriver in the truck bed in case I need to pry it open.
