Cycleaware Reflex Bicycle Helmet Mirror – Reviews

This is a terrible mirror. It stuck to my helmet well enough, but it often pops out of the attachment. My biggest complaint though, is that the universal ball joint is way too loose. It requires constant readjustment- the slightest head wind, down hill or road vibration and the mirror moves, rendering it useless. My husband has the third eye, and it’s much better. I’m getting one of those.

I bought two of these mirrors for two different helmets. They worked fine, but the small oval mirror came out of the snap socket too easily. I lost both of the mirrors within days of purchase (under normal use). I called Performance Cycling’s customer service and they agreed to refund my purchase. This would be a good product if the mirrors stayed put.

I’ve had the mirror for two weeks now. It took some time to adjust and get used to, as I had grown fond of my handle-bar mounted mirror.

I’ve noticed an increased field of view with the helmet mount, which is a great advantage when riding 8.5 miles down two major roads to/from work every day.

My only complaint is that the mirror detaches from the arm far too easily. Lost it the other day when a co-worker gave me a ride home from work since I’m lacking a suitable rain suit.

Will probably contact manufacturer to see about buying a replacement mirror if the co-worker hasn’t managed to find it.

I would suggest finding a way to ‘tie’ the mirror to the arm to prevent loss, or maybe even go to the extreme of gluing it once you find the ideal positioning.
