I was excited when the bike came in that large box. I started to put the bike together. I could not find the bicycle seat! Also the steel piece for the seat was missing. So I had to go to a local bike store. I payed over 100 Dollars to get the missing parts and the bike together. I had to wait one week. It is a joke. This Huffy company is a joke. It seems like that they have a huge problem with missing parts.

My recommendation: Buy rather a used bike. It is also not easy to built the bike together and all the bike parts seem very cheaply. My conclusion: Low quality and a lot of problems. Never again!

I was really excited when I ordered this bike – I had wanted a cute red vintageish cruiser bike for a long time, and this looked just right – even coming with a basket and a water bottle holder!

I was very disappointed, however, upon actually receiving the bike. It is described and pictured as being a reddish raspberry color, but it is most definitely purple. Not even a slightly reddish purple; bright purple. It’s not a color I like, and as I had just spent over a hundred dollars on a product too large and heavy to easily return, and which I will have to look at every day for the foreseeable future (it’s not like you get a new bike that often!), I had really wanted it to be pretty and enjoyable to use. But no. (Obviously you can disregard this entire thing if you WANT a purple bike, I had just been expecting/really wanting it to be the dark red color in the picture, and it bothers me that the product is not portrayed accurately.)

Also, the water bottle holder, although cute, arrived squished beyond repair, and the basket was not even included. I can buy another basket and another water bottle holder (although I’m not sure where I’ll find one that matches the bike so well…) but still! The fact that they were included was a selling point, and this again left me feeling deceived by the portrayal of the product.

Basically, if it wouldn’t be such a hassle to return something so large, I absolutely would. Will certainly not buy from this dealer again.

I read all the reviews before buying it, so I opened the box carefuly, everything was there, thank God! I have never before put a bike together, but I am pretty handy with tools, but the instructions were so generalized and the print was so small. The instructions were not specific for this bike so I just had to put it together using common sense. I gotta say Ikea instructions make more sense. I kindda was expecting to come apart once I tried but it didn’t. The color… It is most definetely NOT RED! I am ok with purple though,at least is not pink. Some of the parts feel cheap and weak, but hey, it’s a $100 bike. So far I am happy with the product.

Only Huffy got the correct tire/rim combination on their cruiser bikes. Most other cruisers come with very narrow rims that do not properly support the wide tires. Huffy uses nice wide lightweight alloy rims with 14 gage heavy duty spokes The styling is excellent as are the materials used, which is why 4 stars. Now the reason I didn’t give it 5; the bearings were all overtightened and under greased. The welds on the frame were sloppy and not properly dressed down, leaving lots of sharp points and catches. Lastly, The seat is cheap and the cover was comming undone before I even used it, and the handlebars are pretty useless as they get in the way of my legs. best to replace both before riding. I went with an old fashoned style, highrise handlebar Wald 869 Hi-Rise Cruiser Bike Handlebar (23.5-Inches Wide, Chrome, 10.5-Inch Rise)and found a vintage steel based (the stock one has a plastic base) seat that work great. If you are not very good at mechanical things, especially bicycles, I would highly recomend having a professional bike shop assemble and tune it for you as some of these issues do require some experience to correct. Other than that a reallygreat bike for the money

I recieved the Bike after a longer time than expected. When it came some parts were loose in the ripped box, but luckily nothing was lost. Throw the directions away, they are worthless. Go to the Huffy web site they have the real thing. It took me about 2 hours to mess with it and get everything adjusted right. Haven’t have had time to ride it much, it’s gardening season, and the weather in WI has been not real good for riding. Quality is what you would expect from China. I like it so far.Supposedly you can buy this bike at target, I called 2 stores that showed them in stock, and the people in that dept. said they didn’t carry Huffy bikes. Go figure. The price was good, and as time goes by I hope my “cruiser” works out good.

I work at a boutique hotel and bought this bike for our guests to use in our small mountain town. I previously bought four similar bikes from XYZ Bikes a few years ago and this was meant to supplement that aging fleet. This bike costs $20 more but is easily twice as nice as those bikes, from the fenders and rear rack, to the solid rubber end-cap handlebar grips (as opposed to the flimsy ones that aren’t capped and thus inevitably slip down the handlebars on the XYZs). Assembly was also very easy.

The chief problem is that the box left out the front basket (though the basket support was included), the nut that secures the front fender to the top of the fork, and the pedals! Packaging problems happen and if Huffy’s warranty department sends me those items I will update this review and improve the rating (I just unpacked this tonight, after business hours, and so haven’t yet spoken with Huffy). Of course, all of those items are available after-market and are inexpensive, but I still like getting what I ordered.

Got all parts of the bike when shipped; took about 45 minutes to put it together. The frame of the tire was bend, wheel wobbled, and the uneven part of the wheel thrusted against the brakes. Took it to a bike shop to fix that and put some air in the tires for $13. Over all a cool bike if you like the retro look, I also bought a basket and a traditional bell for the front; drove it for about 4.5 hours today, so far so good!

For short neighborhood jaunts, this bicycle certainly fits the bill. We added a front basket and antique bell to customize … Also, we took it to a local shop to adjust the brakes and gears a bit before regular use.

I bought this bike for casual riding around the neighborhood, and a comfortable ride while doing it, and this bike fits those needs perfectly. There’s nothing I’d change about this bike, including the seat, which I understand many people change in hopes of more comfort. Considering the look, the comfort, the durability and the price, I’d say you can’t pass on this bike. In fact, I’m considering purchasing one each for my 50-something mother and my teenage daughter.
