Cateye CC VL810 Velo 8 Function Bicycle Computer (Black) – Reviews

I have a Sigma on the other bike and wish that a second Sigma had
been my choice this time….Cat Eye is OK, but the reset is a small button
on the rear side that has to be pushed in with a pin, and then it gets
stuck under the case and you have to pry it loose…would NOT buy another.

Did install easily.

I like the bicycle computer. The instructions are just pictures and if you follow them, the thing won’t work. After looking up the instructions online, I was able to look at the trouble shooting part. The picture instructions show the sensor thing on the outside of the fork, when, in reality, it should be installed on the inside, close to the wheel because it needs to be really close to the magnet to work. Once I figured that out, and put the sensor in the proper position, everything started working perfectly.

Very nice little unit, easy to install.I would of gave it 5 stars, if not for the calorie counter being so inaccurate.Go to the website caloriesperhour.com and click on bike calories burned, the cateye is about 50 to 60 % off.

Got this for my new bike. It’s wired and a breeze to install with the included zip ties. If you’re having issues with the installation go to the cateye website, where there are better instructions than what are included. Only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because the unit is smaller than I expected and it’s hard to read the smaller letters while you’re riding. Other than that, it works as advertised.
