The Canari Paceline Cycling shorts came up short when it comes to adequate padding. The ad did not describe the garment sufficiently and consequently my husband will not be using these shorts.

These bike pants are very well made, the material has a great feel, the elastic bands at the bottom keeps the pant legs from sliding up and the foam padding is thick enough to be comfortable nut not get in the way. I would recommend these pants to anyone looking for a quality bike pants.

We returned these due to the fact that the padding was misplaced. It sat too low in the shorts, so it caused a crease through the center of the crotch. Not only unattractive, but also ruins the point of the padding. They also sat very low in the waist in the front and high above the mid back in the rear. We were highly disappointed. They did seem well constructed and arrived in a timely manner.

I started back into cycling seven years ago and found these at a local sporting goods store. I’ve been wearing them in various sizes ever since as I’ve lost weight. I typically ride 20-40km (12.5-25 miles) at a time, total about 3200km (2000 mi) per year on a road bike. I find the padding much better than the simple foam pad that is typical of inferior products, and don’t notice them at all on my rides.

This year I’m doing my first triathlon and I’ve started wearing these over UnderArmour “heat gear” so that I’m covered when changing from swim suit to riding shorts. They work great for both the cycling and running stages, at least for a sprint distance triathlon.
