Clever design, but weight should be heavier to better stablilize the bike. If you bump the bike it will fall over, thus it is a bit too wobbly for me.
A. Smith
This is pretty handy but it doesn’t take much wind to make the bike fall over. I only use this when I know I don’t need to have the bike stand up for very long.

I’ve used this very compact and light stand for over a year now on my road bike. I mostly use it when I park the bike in the garage. It works great for that purpose, keeping the bike upright and not leaning. It is not as stable as a regular mounted kickstand but it is stable enough. I’ve found that I need to turn the front wheel so that it rests pointed away from the stand for optimum stability. This stand is light enough and can easily be carried along for rides where the only other options for parking a bike are leaning it or laying down. I recommend this stand.
Joseph Romano
OK in all fairness it is a pretty nice stand. The fault is I didn’t research the product to find out it works on only a very limited number of road bike shafts. This is not a universal stand for any bike. I didn’t see it on the description page on Amazon though it probably was there It was on the Topeak site. It was my fault but I still only give it three stars because they should have made it adjustable to fit multiple bikes.

The rack is well designed and well in price. However, you will find that the supplied allen key is too small for the studs of the housing. The key is 4 mm – and I tried my key 4 mm also – but does not adjust the heads of the bolt hole correctly. You will find a “different” way to mount the rack to the bike!
It once past that bit of aggravation, for rack to work as intended!

In general this bike rack is large. The price is affordable and does it its job very well. It is very versatile. The only problem I have with it is the work of painting. Its kind of cheap. Right on paint chips. Its a good buy. (Not too heavy though)

I have just received the installed rack and I am very happy with it although they require some tweaking and an extra hour of my time. Its tough! I have no doubt maxed it to the limit of 40 pounds, mentioned in the description of product from Amazon. In fact, the packaging of mines said 60 pounds. Although this is intended to be a universal rack (for any bike with “Weld-ons” in the rooms), I realized immediately that I have to make some additional modifications engineering and physical to make it a good fit on my bike (see photos marked “A”). This is probably true to some extent for more generic racks. Apparently, my weld-ons are more separate and less of what was this shelf designed to fit. So after some ideas, cut the excess/unncessary 4-5 inches of the two front supports and one of the pieces used as a cross piece that screwed to the bottom of the upper face of the rack with existing holes. It allowed me, then attach the two supports from the piece cross instead of the scheduled mounting on the upper face positions that were too close together for my bike. (I can add a second piece cross by force majeure, but you probably don’t need). I also added some of my own washers for the top recommended by another reviewer (thanks Bob Weaver) to avoid dimpling or damaging the surface of the rack.
My only criticism for Delta is that you should add some elements or add some additional flexibility in their design to those occasions where some modifications are necessary to adjust the rack (thus 4 stars instead of 5). But this is a great rack and any person with average mechanical aptitude can find a way to fit well in the majority of motorcycles. They are not worried! By the way, I have not noticed any problem with peeling or chop painting as noted by another reviewer. Mine seem to have a difficult ending.

Bicycle Workstands – Reviews
I live in an apartment and I wanted something to support the bike while I work on the back wheel. This stand seemed like the perfect solution; it was cheaper and smaller than a full size stand.
The biggest problem I have had is that the kickstand mount on my bike does not let the bike rest squarely on the bottom bracket. It pushes it slightly to the side. Not that noticeable until I turned the pedal and found that the other side of the stand is up against the chain ring. The stand was susceptible to tipping over, several times I bumped the bike and had to grab it before it crashed to the floor, but that was to be expected given its small footprint (and the off center alignment from the kickstand didn’t help).
It does hold the bike up when I have to take the rear wheel off. I can turn the pedals if I put the stand on the bottom bracket crooked, and support the bike with my other hand, which was easier than holding the bike up with one hand while I turned the pedal with the othe

I bought it from a cycling distribution rag even before Al Gore invented the internet. At first I liked it, but it started to bug me after a while. First is that it stands the bike up too high even on it’s lowest setting — the back wheel is several inches up in the air. Not a big deal, but somewhat of a pain. The next issue was when I graduated from my steel frame bikes to carbon, the “cradle” that holds the bottom bracket is just plain not big enough. It allows the BB area of the frame to slip and slide all over. The last thing that really sent it over the edge was the plaastic piece that joins the main body to the single arm that goes around the downtube, split in half. I was just putting a rack on the bike, so it wasn’t like I was really wrenching on it. I called Topeak who is usually excellent in CS, and they said they don’t offer replacement parts for this device. So, I would stay away since the design is a bit old (small tubes), and it could have the tendency like min

I just bought my second stand like this after an old man broke my first one. They are great to take along if you are planning a ride far from home and may need a quick tune up at your campsite. I have used mine countless times, but my first one couldn’t hold up to an old man who didnt know how to use it. Just don’t put too much downward pressure on your bike when it is on the stand or spin the tire excessively fast. Being a portable, folding stand, stress on the hinge can cause it to break pretty quickly, like bending your elbow the direction it isn’t meant to go. I was also able to fix my first one. If you have one and the plastic part of the hinge breaks, just use JB Weld and it will be good as new. Overall a great portable stand, and works flawless when used properly.

I bought this flash stand for my hard tail bike, realize that its plastic material at the bottom bracket support area is quite weak. Upon fitting it up onto my bike, I realize I can actually “bounce” my bicycle like a basketball when gently pressing down onto the saddle. Its quite difficult to fit it up, reason that its fold-able legs and top arm moves around when trying to get it up and standing. The rear wheel ground clearance wasn’t very high, not good enough for me to do maintenance work on my bike as the flash stand will “bounce” when I start to pedal the bike. Very disappointed with Top Peak products, I bought both their flash stand and tune-up dx, and was very disappointed with the design….I support Top Peak a lot, I bought their cycle bags and bicycle pumps which are very good, but it seems that their bike stand wasn’t!!!!! Top Peak, wake up!!!!!

Bicycle Workstands – Reviews
well, i guess i should have listened to the other reviewers out there. this bike stand is just too unstable to be used for general storage. i can see how it might be useful if i was riding around and wanted to be able to park my mountain bike upright somewhere. but i’ve been trying to use this to stand my bike up in my garage, and while it works, it’s really precariously balanced. if i move the bike at all for any reason (like i need to move it 6 inches so i can reach something behind it) , the stand basically becomes unstable and the bike starts to fall over. so i would stay away from this thing and just get a regular bike stand. this thing looks cool, but is pretty much useless you never intend to move your bike.
