Good Cook

My son’s bicycle that we bought at Target came with some pretty crappy tires and tubes. They both failed pretty quickly. 16 inch tubes and tires aren’t super easy to find but I was able to get both on Amazon. I’m not a bike person by any stretch, I just ride for fun with my kids and they ride theirs to school. I searched youtube to see how to remove the old tire and tube and how to put the new ones on. It took maybe 10 or 15 minutes and everything has been great since. It was much cheaper and quicker than taking it to a bike shop.

I went thru a few tubes before buying these, and I wont have to buy any again. These things are thick and durable, also durable around the valve stem as this is where many cheaper tubes fail. You cant go wrong with these tubes, buy them…now

I was getting flats weekly, sometimes daily before I installed these tubes. I have now put about 100 miles on them without a single flat. Clearly they work.

I bought 4 of these and have yet to puncture the first two, I’ve had seashells and pieces of glass get stuck to my tires and these tubes are fine!! A little on the heavy side but if you like to beat on your rims and roll through anything these are for you.

Bought this tube to replace a stock tube that had a slow leak. For the first 5 days it worked just fine, held the air and didn’t lose pressure. On the 6th day riding it (this morning) the valve stem decided to shoot off the tube – completely off the tube. I found it on the ground when I was looked down to see why I was having trouble moving forward. Luckily it happened while I was waiting for a light to change, rather than seconds before when i was dodging taxis and delivery trucks in the fun Manhattan morning rush hour. I ride a mountain bike, and don’t over-pressurize my tires due to the plethora of pot holes on the streets. It could have just been bad luck – there are defects in every manufacturing process, but… I’m going to go with a different brand for it’s replacement.

My two tires arrived as planned with UPS (one of them damaged beyond use and needed to be returned… NOT because of the shipper) but the tubes were sent with a separate shipper (USPS) and were so late in arriving that I had to go get tubes from a local bike shop and pay crazy prices for the same products. Now I have three extra tubes. All around poor experience.

You add some wieght to your bicycle but you have less worries on your journey. They are heavier and thicker than the regular ones but if you don’t mind about weight thar are just fine.
Maybe for racers aren’t the best option, but if you travel long distances, believe me, you’ll be very happy.
You can eliminate weight in other parts of your bike and use this, for example changing the saddle, the stem, pedals etc.
If you have a puncture, this almost inmediatly will be fixed with the inner seallant.

Great tube for hostile glass and thorn ridden trails. You will have very few flats when you use this. You can also put slime into regular tubes, but this makes it easy.
