Bicycle Tire Pump – Reviews
Another great one from Topeak. Perfect for an emergency inflation. Short tube requires more work, but inflates easily up to 60 or so lbs; gets (only a little) harder after that, but it would take a while to get it up to 120-130. For most situations, though, a roadside inflation of 60-70 is absolutely fine. If you spend another few minutes, you’d make it past 100!
Aside from the Topeak Road Morph, this would be my next choice in my bag!

I picked this up after a recommendation from my local bike shop. I am using it for my mountain bike as I wanted something very small and light. It takes about 200 pumps to get a completely flat 26″ x 2.1 tube to 45 pounds. It locks on to presta valves very easily and stays connected while pumping. It’s not the best pump if you are in a hurry, but perfect for an emergency along the trail. The plastic bracket bolts underneath the drink cage. The pump clips in and has a thick rubber band like retainer. Hardly know it’s there.

Unscrew the gray cap.
Pull out the black insert(s). There should be two pieces but you may have to pull them apart.
Take the one with the point end and push it through the small hole of the cylindrical one.
Put the pair back into the pump with the larger hole facing out.
Reattach the cap.

It works and its small. Does heat up when used for a 2.35 mtb tire but a great “just-in-case” tool to have. I had one before that lasted for years (3+) but it was stolen…worked well enough before so I bought it again.

Bicycle Tire Pump – Reviews
Bought this on all the good reviews but it doesn’t work for the short presta valves I have on my bikes.
The dual-purpose schrader and presta head doesn’t close properly around such a short valve and not only doesn’t it allow air to come in it also pretty effectively releases any residual air you started with.

The housing of the valve head and lever is made frade from low-grade plastic and it disintegrated and fell apart after like 4 uses. Literally cracked in 2 places at once. Definitely contacting the manufacturer about this for a replacement.

I have used this pump several times with both schrader and presta valves with no problems. I am also satisfied with the ease of pumping. The pressure gauge also comes in handy.

I bought this pump based on the reviews. It seems to work quite well in the pumping area. It took only a few pumps to take my 29inch Mtn Bike tire from 20 to 40 psi. But I only know that because I have a another gauge to check with. According to the pump gauge I was only at 30psi when I stopped. If I was relying on the pump gauge I would have over inflated my tire. To be honest though…I don’t know what other pump I would by here on Amazon.

Bicycle Tire Pump – Reviews
The gauge is nearly as accurate as my digital gauge, and the pump is great.

For the longest time, I had to take my bike to the local gas station to pump my bike tires to 90lbs. I had a small electric air pump that couldn’t get to that high of a pressure. This hand pump was able to get my tires right back up to 90lbs.

I bought this pump to replace a Schwinn standup bicycle pump I bought in 1975 that finally broke…at least, the hose did. The all-metal construction of the rest of the pump probably would’ve lasted another three decades. I bought the Joe Blow based on price and good reviews here on Amazon.com. First thing I noticed upon unpacking it is that materials ain’t what they used to be. The pump is mostly plastic; the metal compression tube is thin metal — I think that may be the only metal part of the entire machine. The cheapness is borne out by the manufacturer’s unbelievable pride and confidence in their product by offering an astounding 90 day warranty. That last sentence was satire; hopefully you got it.
On the plus side, the pump has a dual schrader/presta nozzle, which is handy. My old trusty Schwinn was schrader, so I had to keep a presta adapter handy for my bike. Unfortunately, this dual nozzle makes it bulky, and I had trouble fitting it over the schrader valves of my cars to i

I ran out to buy this pump after using one belonging to a friend. I really loved it because it makes inflating your tube so easy – no need to crank down hard on the handle. Unfortunately, about a year later, it failed to inflate the tube at all. I took it back to the bike store and they told me that after a year this is a common problem with this pump. Oh well. Now I’m debating whether to get another one or try something different.

Schwinn Aluminum Frame Pump
Bicycle Tire Pump – Features
Featuring the Schwinn brand Americans have trusted for over one hundred years this pump is small enough to go with you anywhere. Bicycle tires and tubes require a fixed pressure per square inch (PSI) to function safely and at best performance. Home bicycle pumps allow riders to maintain this conveniently without costly or lengthy trips to the nearest service station. When mounted on a bicycle or stored in a glove compartment fear of being stranded due to low pressure becomes a thing of the past. PTI Sports products are designed with safety as the first and foremost concern and are constructed of high quality parts and materials to prevent degradation over time. Thoroughly tested, our products last through years of use before they are recommended for replacement, ensuring safe cycling for years to come.

Bicycle Tire Pump – Reviews
This quality Schwinn made, frame mounted bike pump is half of the price of other pumps and is just as great or better. The Velcro strap keeps the pump in place while riding and the fold out handle makes tire inflation a little bit easier.

I bought the Schwinn mini pump from Kmart today, and I can say that I am very happy with my purchase. It was very easy to install on my bike where the water bottle would mount if I had one. It hangs off to the side so that you can even still mount a bottle holder there (but is small enough that it doesn’t get in the way), and comes with extra long screws so that you wont come up short on installation even if you have extra accessories. The pump is easy to use, and has 2 slots for the 2 different types of air nozzles (which came in handy b/c my bike has both nozzle types: Presta in the front and Schrader in the back). It’s sturdy, and looks/feels well made. It’s new, so it hasn’t had a chance to break, yet. But if anything goes wrong I’ll be sure to post another review

Sears and Kmart sell this pump. I happened upon it and tried it out in the store. On the first pump the handle fell off and into my hand. It was clear when I inspected the product that the handle is ‘pressed’ into the shaft of the pump. There is no screw holding it in place. A very small, hard to see crack developed at the juncture causing the catastrophic failure. These pumps are designed for one purpose…to get you back home in case of an emergency. It will not help if the pump itself doesn’t work when you find yourself stranded. No way would I buy this pump…ever.

This bike pump is very cheap, and provides a decent value for emergency use or for topping off your bike tires every once in a while. I would not recommend purchasing this as your primary method for inflating bike tires – it takes a lot of time to fill a tire from scratch. Since I’ve purchased this product, there hasn’t really been a time that I’ve used it instead of the larger pump I keep in my basement – other than just to try it out. I do have it mounted to my bike just in case I run into trouble while out on a ride, but this situation hasn’t come up yet. The mounting mechanism is well-done – simple, easy, and a solid fit.
I’d recommend this product as a great budget item for topping off or emergency use, but would not advise buying it as your primary bike pump. It makes a great backup.

Bicycle Tire Pump – Reviews
I looked long and hard before buying this pump, and overall, I am very satisfied. In fact, there isn’t a thing I don’t use this pump for. I’ve used it on the car, on my bikes, it just works. The dial is easy to read, and can easily inflate my bike’s tires to 110psi+ It feels sturdy and has a nice solid base to place your feet on when using.

Really happy with this pump. Sturdy, with easy-to-read pressure gauge. Gauge face is black with white numerals and a yellow hand. A moveable red marker on the perimeter of the gauge can be set to the pressure you want, making it easy to monitor when you reach it. I agree with others that putting the gauge up higher on the pump would be a great idea.

I’ve had this pump for about a month and it works great. No issues. The twin head works very well on presta and schrader valves. The head is a little tight between the spokes on small wheels like kids bikes but with a little effort it works fine. Great product so far.

I already have one of these and gave another as a gift. This pump is great and stores easily. It’s a decent price and easy to use.
