The bike rack works well. Make sure to find a beam behind the sheetrock to install as it will simply fall off the wall if the top rack is not securely tightened into the wall.

For the negative reviews from people with mountain bikes: A lot of mountain bikes will range from 35-60lbs – which is probably not the target market for this bike rack. This rack is meant to hold 40lbs or less – it is after all attached to your wall with 2 screws (stud or brick).

As for comfort bikes, beach cruisers, and especially road bikes – this rack is just fine. Took me less than 5 minutes to have it on the wall and the bike hanging. I have attached 2 photos of the rack in action. Suitable and convenient. Its light weight and the 2-screw attachment is low impact damage to the wall, easily patchable upon removal. The addition of the tire tray for the bottom/rear tire is great, can be attached via the double sided tape that comes on the back of it, or with 2 screws.

If you are looking to hang a heavy bike you might want to check out some other products.

I was pleased with the sturdiness and overall construction of hanger but problem came with type of bike I have. My bike is a hybrid. A cross between a street and mountain bike. Even though it has an aluminum frame. It still has some wt. I could not hang the bike off the floor as instructed which is fine since I was only looking for space in my room. I live in an apt. with plaster walls (another problem). Get good wall anchors (don’t use what is included) and be careful how thick the plaster when hanging on outside wall (before you go through plaster to brick wall). I also found getting my tire into hanger difficult once vertical. So if you have a bike like the picture (i.e. a light racing bike) great. But if a serious one. Be warned. May not work as advertised.

It doesn’t withstand the weight of an average mountain bike. It’s a bike rack designed only for very light ones. Unfortunately, they not warn you before you buy your product.

Ive been hang bikes on hooks a long,long time and tried these because they would look better and not leave as large a hole when done. Wow, wish I had know about these before. +++++

This bike hook has been great. It was very easy to install (2 screws) with the help of a stud finder. It holds the bikes securely and neatly to the wall of our apartment. My bike weighs in at about 25 pounds, and the product has not warped or changed in any way. We also get lots of complements from friends about how nice the product looks.

I’ve been a part-time bike commuter and charity rider for years and only recently bought a house. Having a garage was my number one priority as I was sick of moving bikes in and out of the storage shed. I also had to leave my primary commuter on the front porch only partially sheltered from the rain. I always wanted a decent commuter too but was always afraid of its being a target for theft.

Immediately after moving in, I started putting these up two at a time with every other one about a foot or so offset from the others. As soon as I had an open hook, I started building my dream commuter too (Whoo-hoo!) The three lightest bikes hang along the upper row and the full suspension bike and the touring bike hang a little lower to keep the handlebars and cables from getting tangled.

Take a cue from how bike shops store their bikes. I have five bikes taking up just 6 feet of wall space. There’s room underneath to store the camp stove, grill, lantern, etc. that I don’t like to keep inside

Works great hanging a almost any bike from the wall. It wont hang anything with fat tires on it, also dont hang it to high because when you do this the tires will roll down a little and get caught up in the spokes. So pay attention when you take the bike off the rack or you could damage your spokes.

I bought two of these hoping to organize the garage. I was surprised initially at the small size of the box when it arrived but after about 15 minutes I had both assembled and was impressed with the product. They are light and easy to disassemble if needed. I take them on our camping trips to the lake and the mountains. It is a great way to keep the annoying sight of piled up bicycles out of your camp sites. I plan on purchasing one for my parent’s home also.

I just got this product an hour ago and was exciting to try it out but when I assembled it and stuck some bikes on it I realized that it’s very poorly designed. There is no way for rear wheels to sit in the supports without the supports contacting portions of the drivetrain. Either the cassette sits on top of the diagonal support or the support falls between the wheel and the rear derailleur, putting pressure on the RD. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could accidentally bend or snap the rear derailleur if you jostled a bike on this rack.

I tried bikes with 700c and 27″ wheels, no dice with either.

Additionally, the box says you could use it in a truck bed. I wouldn’t dare do that unless the truck was up on blocks or something. The tubes are way too thin and would bend with the stresses of driving. Plus the aforementioned drivetrain rubbing would wreck your stuff by the time you arrived.

Don’t know what all the positive reviewers for this product are smoking.

The uprights are far too tall, so they hit the expensive bits of any modern mountain bike – disc brakes and rear mechanisms are all at risk. I like the modular nature of the design, but it’s just not safe for garage use, let alone in a truck bed.

The uprights are also far too far apart to hold road bikes well, but that’s apparent from the product description, so that’s just a warning.

Product arrived in great packaging with all parts. Took 10 minutes to put together. I put two adult road bikes and one adult mountain bike in it and it accomodiated all three very well. I would highly recommend this product.

I bought this rack to safely store mine and my husband’s hybrid bicycles in our garage. This rack does a great job of freeing up space and giving the bikes a nice place to live instead of just having them leaned up against a wall.

The good parts: The rack is of a great quality, well constructed, and simple to assemble. The arms are padded which is a nice feature, and can be angled as well–I imagine that would be a great asset for storing a woman’s bike. The height of the arms can also be adjusted. After installing it in the garage, the rack seems very secure and sturdy.

The bad parts: it’s kind of a pain to install. I wanted to make sure the tension was very tight so the pole wouldn’t slip when the bikes were, but it’s incredibly difficult to achieve this. The first step is adjusting the height of the pole, and the second step is depressing the foot locking mechanism to lock the pole in place. Seems simple, but it took entirely too long: the height seemed right, but then I

I’m very happy with this stand so far. I bought it to store my mountain bike and my road bike in my laundry room. The room has a slick vinyl floor and drywall ceiling, but all four walls are plaster against solid brick, so a wall-mounted rack wasn’t practical. It is very important to place the stand directly under a ceiling joist. If you have flat ceilings, joists are easy to locate with a cheap stud-finder. To alleviate my worries about the base slipping on the vinyl floor, I took a scrap of non-slip rug pad (shelf liner would work too, something like this: Griptex Wonderliner Extra 20 by 60-Inch Roll, White) and cut out a circle the same size as the base of the stand to help create some friction with the floor. Then it’s just a matter of getting the stand good and tight, which wasn’t difficult.

Had this for 15 months and this is not very stable. Maybe due to the seasonal contraction and expansion in my garage, the spring tension in the pole has given way at least 3 times, twice the stand slipped off the ceiling joist stud on its own. But once it is installed, it is great but if you live in a zone where the temps in your garage varies greatly with the season, watch out!!!

This is the perfect storage solution for people who want/need to store their bikes up and out of the way indoors but can’t attach something to the walls (i.e., renters). With additional hangers, it can support up to four bikes using both sides. It’s very adjustable to support nearly any kind of bike and it only took a few tries to get it to fit my full suspension MTB just right. For a hardtail or road bike, it’s even easier.

Because this uses pressure between the floor and ceiling, make SURE you set it up directly below a joist or use an 18″ section of 2×4 to span between two joists. Otherwise, the only support you’ll have is the drywall or plaster. If the drywall doesn’t crack when you first put it up, you’ll likely have the rack falling over at some point since it won’t have enough pressure to keep resisting gravity in the long run.

Bought this to make room in the garage with all the bikes. Came in great time. Was easy for me to put together. Didn’t need the husbands help at all. Holds 6 bikes fairly well. Good quality frame. Heavy duty.

Seems to work ok and it’s pretty strudy. Supplied bolts are too long, I am going to cut them so they don’t protrude so much. Someone can step on them and get hurt. Also there is nothing to lock down the tubes together except the bolts torque. Cutouts of some sort would make it rock solid. Fits three bikes on each side, but the adjacent bikes should be placed in opposite directions so the handle bars do not interfere.

This product works well. Easy installation and the material seems sturdy. It will handle six bikes but one has to use both sides three bikes on each side. I am pleased with this purchase.

Our garage was being overrun by bicycles belonging to my son and his friends. When this rack arrived I had it assembled in about ten minutes, and now the garage clutter is much reduced. It’s easy to use and holds everything we’ve put on it so far (including a Razor scooter and a unicycle). Solid and stable.

Great Rack! Quick and easy installation.. only one screw. The tools for the job are a stud finder, drill and drill bit. I was able to fit two adult size mountain bikes on the rack without a problem. The key to that is having the handle bars at a slight angle. I have recommended this to family and friends.

The idea and the function of this rack is great but you’ll need to replace the screw (very poor fastener) and you may want to drill and tap two more mounting holes.
Also, this rack is ideal for one bike only. You can squeeze another bike but it is near impossible. I saw the other reviews and have to agree with the masses. The product works for me and I would purchase again but I
