This bag is just big enough for a small multi-tool, phone, tire lever, and tube – perfect! I keep my food in the back jersey pocket so this works well. Most people would prefer the next size up though. The bag fits snug under the saddle and doesn’t rattle at all. It is also easily removable without having the overcomplicated “interchange” click-in systems like on the bontrager bags.

I picked the medium based on all the reviews I read. It fits an inner-tube, t-wrench and tire levers. I can probably squeeze a phone in and some keys. There isn’t much room left although and can unzip the mid zipper and get about an inch more. Construction is good and fit is a bit awkward as it doesn’t fit the contour of the seat post and the seat bottom on my bike. I opted for the velcro model after all the bad reviews regarding the one with the “fixer”. Overall I’m satisfied. I can’t imagine buying the small model if you want to carry a tube and some wrenches.

I generally ride between 15 and 50 miles on a daily basis. I needed a pack that would be able to hold the essentials without being huge. The Topeak was the perfect solution.

Here’s what is in my pack (with the pack expanded):
1 – Inflator nozzle
2 – CO2 cartridges
2 – Tire sticks
1 – Spare tube (700×25) in its box
1 – Large cellphone (Blackberry Storm)
1 – DL & Credit Card
1 – Set of car keys
1 – Powerbar Gel Pack

If I do not bring my cellphone, I can easily close the expansion zipper.

This pack holds everything quite nicely and the it is firmly held to the bike. My only concern is that the zipper touches the underside of the seat, making it rather difficult to zip/unzip the pack. Other than that, it’s great.

This bag is perfect for any bike. It has a surprising capacity and a sharp style. The size and shape is perfect for storing spare tubes and repair tools with perhaps room to spare for keys. Thanks to the secure straps, this bag stays put and doesn’t budge. One reason I chose this bag over other bags such as the Specialized dirt bag is that that this bag maintains it’s shape no matter what is inside. Where other bags tend to look unattractive and deformed when partly filled, this bag always remains stylish. An excellent product.

I do not like saddle bags because I think they are very unattractive. But after experiencing a flat tire several miles from home, I decided to get one of these. I didn’t want a real small one, and I didn’t want a large one. This one is the perfect size. It’s plenty big enough to fit all my stuff without looking bad on my bike. Right now I have my 3 tire levers, patch kit, bike lock key, sunglasses, gloves, and 2 energy bars in there. I still have a little room left, and plenty more, if I unlock the bottom zipper. Yes, it’s expandable, but I’d rather not use that unless I need to, because it starts to look really unattractive then. It has a safety lock clip inside and a photo id holder. I used the clip for my bike lock key and I will put like 20 dollars in the pouch. I highly recommend one of these if you bike ride far from home, at least 8 miles away is where I was. May not seem far in a car, but on a bike that your just starting to ride on, it definately is. So I recomme

Perfect size for a mini tool, extra tube, patch kit, keys, and cell phone. Even expands if you need to carry more stuff like an energy bar. Installs easy and without tools so you can remove it if you have to lock your bike up in a public place. I am going to order another one for each of my bikes. Fits right underneath the saddle and doesn’t protrude or get in the way.

I want a Tardis seat bag: really small on the outside and really large on the inside. OK, that’s not really possible, but I want a bag that isn’t huge looking but has the utility that I need to carry phone, wallet, and a few tools.

This bag will certainly do all of that, plus it does has a nifty expansion feature to make it even bigger. Small enough to fit entirely under my seat. You can leave it attached and still access the interior, which sounds like common sense but many bags require that you remove them to unzip them.

Only down side for me: urban riding, I have to take everything off the bike when parking, then put it back on again when riding off. This bag is a bit fussy to on and off, I think mainly due to the strap having to pass through a retaining loop on the bottom of the bag which is a tight fit.

Overall, a solid product, well built, very good price.

This bag seems very well made, but it is smaller than I thought it was going to be. I guess I couldn’t visualize the cubic inches. It does easily fit my repair items (spare tube, 2 patch kits, levers, tire boot, multi-tool), and a gu pack, but a phone and wallet and extras would be a pretty tight fit.

I’m happy with it though. If I had it to do over, I would probably go with the large instead of the medium, but I have a rack and panniers, so finding a place for all my stuff isn’t that hard.

Another quality product from the folks at timbuk2. I’ve used their messenger bags for years, and now that I’m back on the bike I’ve trusted them to stow me gear during rides. I have the medium size as well…which can only handle one tube, patch kit, levers, and a small multi tool (barely). The large is considerably bigger and can hold 2 tubes and additional stuff for longer rides. If you want to carry an inflation device, the large size is a MUST. Great pack!

Other people weren’t kidding when they said this saddle bag doesn’t have a ton of room. I was hoping to keep my cell phone in there along with the flat kit. It fits my tube, levers, and co2 pretty tightly with not very much room for anything else. Other than that its an amazing bag as of week 4 with it. It looks good and clean, stays put, doesn’t make noise and does what it needs to, and I got it for price that was easy on the wallet. 4 stars because of the size – i got medium – otherwise this would be 5 stars easy

I love Timbuk2 – I own several bags for every purpose, so it seemed logical to pick up a seat pack for my bike (a Trek hybrid 7200). I went ahead and purchased the medium-sized bag. All in all, it’s a good bag for the price.

PROS – The material is great, highly durable. The key tether is fantastic as well. All Timbuk2 products are stylish and look great no matter what you’re doing. Small enough your legs won’t hit the sides of the bag as you ride. Velcro attachment loops seem solid after long rides.

CONS – bag interior is smaller than you’d think. Couldn’t fit a wallet in there (not even a front-pocket style wallet). Fits a small hex tool, a key ring, and a chapstick. There is no loop on the bag for a tail light – in lieu of this, would have been great to have some reflective flashing (maybe in the logo stitching).

If you’re thinking about purchasing, go large if you want the bag to function as a rack/pannier replacement on short trips.

This is a great bag. It comes in several different accent colors, has a two way, smooth zipper–hooray, lots of room and is expandable. For some reason the shape of this bag will hold a ton of stuff. With the extension closed, I have an inner tube wrapped in rag, tire irons, muilti-tool, co2 cartridge and head, little Swiss army knife, and energy bar in the bag and have room to spare. The extension on the bottom means that the flap door does not open as nicely as the Topeak wedge, but it still opens easily enough. I had a Detours large Guppy, which I also liked a lot but which I apparently lost full of stuff. Even though the Guppy supposedly had a larger capacity, the Serfas medium Speed bag beats it by a lot. I know Serfas is considered second class stuff by bike aficionados but if you are looking for a medium sized seat bag with lots of room (including internal pockets, key fob), check out the medium Speed bag.No other bag has a two way zipper. I bought mine online from Serfas.

This bag has enough room to fit my spare tube, tools, lock, wallet and cell phone. It has elastic loops inside that hold my tools, a small mesh pocket on the inside of the flap that holds the USB charger for my lights, and it has a mesh pocket on the side that holds cash and cellphone. One cool feature is the expandable bottom. It adds about 50% more storage space. I would buy this product again.

When I first received it. It looked really small but it actually holds a lot of stuff plus it does expand when you unzip the bottom. I was able to put my multi-bike tool kit, my lock, my bungie cord, my bike gloves, and still have some room to fit more. The material looks very durable and The color looks really nice. I got the Gray color and it looked pretty close to the image on Amazon. The zippers open and close very smoothly. It attaches very securely below my seat. The velcro is really strong.

Good sized bag to fit everything a rodie would need to fix flats, etc. Purists may think it is too large, you know the type that tie a spare tube to the bottom of their saddle because of all of that extra weight…hey lose a pound.

It really, really attaches well to the bicycle seat. It’s well made and most definitely can withstand rough weather. It’s well made on the outside and inside. Can store cell phone (Iphone), Keys and few $ in case of emergency. It’s well paded on the inside. I would definitely recommend it to others.

This review is for the Avenir Bigmouth underseat bag, size small (27 cubic inches). Although it is described as a “velcro” seat bag, it opens with a zipper and attaches to the saddle rails with a buckle strap and to the seatpost with a velcro strap. I wanted something that would be inconspicuous and hold just the essentials. This bag fills those requirements, just right for ID, insurance, & credit cards, emergency $, keys, cell phone, tiny patch kit, snack. It might also be a good size to use for an emergency repair kit.

Unlike another review, I am surprised that it holds as much as it does. I am posting a picture of it with my credit card/ID/cash holder, 3 Park tire levers and tiny patch kit, key, small cell phone, and a GPS. Without the GPS, it would also hold a small digital camera or the equivalent. I don’t take long rides and probably won’t carry the tire levers, but I thought others might want to know if it is deep enough to hold them and zip closed, and it is.

I needed a good place to keep my blackberry while I ride. This does the job perfectly and securely and there is room for some money, keys or garage door opener.
The floor is foam padded so my BB is never bouncing around.

This little bag is exactly what I needed for my bike. I bike to work and love to listen to my MP3 player which fits snuggly inside. The bag fits just where I need it to be. I also put my phone and work ID card in there. Nice touch with the packed away rain cover. Simple, effective, smart.

For some reason I thought this would be a little bigger. But it works great and does the job. You can carry a little extra in it like food or tire tube.

The top tube bag has worked out well on rides so far. It’s made well. I haven’t had to use the rain pouch that stretches over the bag. I have a LG Env3 cell and it fits perfect on it’s side for my rides. I can here my calls now from other riders. My only “mild” complaint is that the Velcro that attaches the front of the bag to the neck moves a bit too much. All in all it’s been good for the price.

Very nice product, held to the bike securely,yet easily removeable. My standard fare includes a tube(700×23), small bicycle multitool, a rear light, tire tools, and a patch kit, and it’s full. If you carry more than that, get the large.

The plastic cleat on the bag fractures after hitting small bumps. Has happened to me twice. Topeak sent me new parts, but it isn’t worth my life to have bag go into wheel at speed.
