I found this mirror extreemly well engineered with excellent instructions for the do it yourselfer. The vibration is minimal and the visibility of the road behind you is excellent. The only tool required to assemble and install the mirror is an allen key which is included in the package. I have a Giant Cypress bike which required getting out a box cutter to cut out the end of the hand grip. After removing that, I found another plug which requred some cutting and then pushing into the handle bar to make room for the mirror mount. From that point on, the installation went very smoothly. The one concern I had while assembling the mirror was that the screws seemed to be crossthreading into the brass inserts of each mating part. If I had read the istructions a little more thoroughly, I would have seen that this was to be expected. It was in bold type but I glossed over it. The brass inserts are designed to grip the screw tightly to prevent the screw from backing out due to road vibration.

This a terrific bike mirror, especially in “View” of the mirror extension. It assembles and installs quite easily (Good instructions too). I have two and wouldn’t buy any other.

This is a great mirror. Just as others have said, very solid with very little shake. No problem seeing what’s coming. I had two concerns before buying it. First, I was worried it’d be too concave and distorted. It isn’t. It’s perfect and images are perfectly clear. Second concern, I was worried that it wouldn’t reach out far enough to see around my shoulder on my narrow BikeE recumbent handlebars. Again, no problem. I can easily see around, yet it doesn’t stick out too far where it’d hit stuff while trail riding. It was tough enough to take a fall, but I’m sure if it lands just right, (or wrong) where it can’t swing out of the way, it’ll probably break. Simple solution though. Don’t let your bike fall over. Also, assembly is no problem. If you’re smart enough to shift gears, you can put it together.

I used to do a lot of bicycle touring. One might say in a prior life (before kids). On that old Trek I had a Mirrycle mirror that mounted to my hand brake. I logged hundreds of miles on that bike over many years, and the mirror was great and never gave me an ounce of trouble. I rode in the back country, in the city and across states, and it helped me stay safe every bit of the way. The mirror was an irreplaceable part of the bike, as far as I was concerned.

Fast forward 15 years or so. I bought hybrid bikes with straight handle bars for the wife and I. I had forgotten all about my trusty Mirrycle mirror from the prior life. I searched local stores and could not find something that seemed right. I searched on Amazon and ended up trying the Sunlite Deluxe Bicycle Mirror with White Reflector. Good price with decent reviews. I pulled the trigger and tried it (x 4; me, wife, 2 kids). Good quality mirror and great price, but for the straight handle bars on our bikes, they did not provide

This is our second set of eyeglass mirrors. They are easy to use and once you get used to using them you don’t want to go anywhere without them. I even find myself checking my “mirror” when I’m walking and don’t have it on. One drawback that we’ve found is that if your frames are flimsy they could get bent. But that hasn’t really been an issue for us.

Give these easy to use mirrors a try. I won’t ride without one.

I have used bycycle mirrors before, most of the helmet mounted, I recently purchased a new helmet and did not want to mount a mirror on it, so I looked for a mirror that could mount on my glasses. this one fits the bill, with one small exception…I would like it better if it were just about an inch longer, it can be a real strain to see in it at times. But it does do the trick, and it has a lot of adjustments, making it easy to aim. Overall I would recommend this mirror!

I’ve used handlebar mirrors and helmet mirrors, but this one is the best. You can position it so you look up, move your head, or simply glance left to see behind you. The view is wide, stable and very clear. My only complaint is that it won’t fasten to wire-rimmed glasses. Mostly I wear sunglasses when I bike, but on the rare occasion where I don’t put in my contact lenses, I wear my wire rimmed glasses, and you can’t fasten this to them. I got a helmet adapter which I haven’t used yet, but perhaps this will make it possible to use this when wearing my glasses.

The mirror and its attachment is better than the ones I have purchased, however, the attachment does not addapt to all helmets. I have two helmets by Specialized: one I had no problem attaching to, the other, the helmet bindings were in the way and could not get the mirror attachment to fit properly. It would be to your advantage to research and design the mirror attachment to fit all helmets. This would help the buyer from purchasing a new helmet just to fit the mirror attachment. Whether or not you print this review does not matter to me. This review is intended for your design department. Thanks for the mirror.

Sure it’s $40, but you’ll never have to buy another mirror again! It’s that well built!

I love the large viewing area, the mirrored surface is great with no distortion, it stays in place right where you put it.
The large viewing area is the best thing on this mirror. All the other helmet or glasses mirrors are less than a quarter of the size. It really makes a difference once you put it on. If you are worried about the mirror being disruptive to your fiels of view…DON’T. Because it is just 5 inches from your face it is impossible for it to create a blind spot in your forward vision. Because you have two eyes (I hope) and stereoscopic vision, unless you are actually looking into the mirror you will see right through it as you are looking down the road. Between that and the mirror moving as you move your helmet/head it will never be in your way. Focus on the mirror and you will have a clear view behind you…focus on the road and you will have an unobstructed view of the road.

I wasn’t sure if I would find the mirror on the end of the handlebar instead of on top of the handle bars like most mirrors awkward but it’s not. The mirror provides a pretty good view behind and to the left to watch out for passing cars. The installation was easy and the mirror stays put.

It does not work well if you want to see your child in child seat mounted right behind you. It does not stick out far enough to get a view around your body. But I didn’t buy it for that anyway so I don’t care.

One thing that I didn’t see on Amazon is that the packaging says that the company will repair the mirror for $6 if you need any service on it. You can either send it in, or describe the part you want them to send to you.

This mirror makes my work commute a lot less stressful on left turns.

Not sure about the reviewer who received no instructions… Mine were clearly on the package — both in writing and in pictures. Install couldn’t have been simpler: (1) Remove handlebar plug (you do need a flathead screwdriver or something to pry it out with). (2) Insert mirror and turn clockwise until tight. Obviously you don’t want to turn it too tight; if you do that with anything, stuff can snap and break.

After the 30 second install (give or take 10 seconds), I went for a ride. The mirror works well and does not get in the way. A sturdy product for a great price. I’ve already recommended it to family and friends.

I have used these mirrors for many years, both on my bike and my wife’s. They are simply the best. The mirror itself is glass, not cheap plastic like some others that over time will fog and crack. The handle bar position and actual views are excellent. Much better than helmet or eye glass mounts. The only negative is that if your bike tips over, the mirror will likely break. But then you control that, don’t you.

I have had this mirror for one full month. I loved the mirror and wrote a review here that said so. However, today it fell apart. The mirror has never been subjected to any type of direct contact with anything. The break must be due to the G forces it received from riding. One of the ears that mount the actual mirror broke. By Ernie Wireman, I Been looking for a true view mirror to mount on left handlebar end that stays put and can be set to see past the left arm. I moved the shifter and brake in a little, cut a little off the grip. This baby is it mounted on end with my bright red flasher.
