I have used other manufacturers compression shorts and took a chance on these because they were half the price. In this case, you get what you pay for. Spandex is extremely thin. I prefer a thick spandex which provides more compression. They do really embrace skin for their more general wrap only slightly. Would be fine for typical underwear, but I’ll buy compression shorts because I want a snugger, more confined feel on my thighs as I lift, run, etc. I returned to Amazon and will paste with under armour, even if they are twice the price…

too small, certainly not for a size as 42…
not return value – will be sent to goodwill

These compression shorts have material thinner than my compression under armour shorts, but they are quite nice especially for $14. The fabric is comfortable and provides the appropriate compression and so far they have chosen well. I plan buy more at this price.

My first bike shorts and man they work good and perfect fit. I bought these shorts based on the work of research and reading reviews on amazon and these shorts had the best and most of the reviews. Now I see why. I used their a dozen times so far and I have no complaints. my drives are generally long one and a half, and I am very comfortable all the time. I also use a “nomade” by Topeak ergonomic saddle and it works very well with shorts iZumi
userinfo
I have never worn shorts before with spandex but after my bike to work, riding my “domain” is always painful. I decided to get these based on major magazines here and as always amazon reviews never disappoint me. I monte commando in these and they are really comfortable, pad covers all appropriate fields.

Nice shorts cycling – only disadvantage is that they do not have a drawstring. The more expensive attack shorts from the same manufacturer have a drawstring. I would probably be those the next time.

On receipt of these, I took a one look and decided on their return. While they are looking great in the Amazon online, pair, image I received was frayed on each finger. It really seemed that a person has taken a pair of scissors and cut the fingertips without effort to finish the edges. They looked so terrible and cheap. When I try them, there are threads suspended of each finger. I don’t know how to explain, other that those they resemble a person takes just a pair of scissors to fingers. Perhaps it was just the pair, I received, but it seemed that someone at the plant was ready to go home to quittin time and the Department of quality control was breakfast.

Performs well, keeps shape even after washing, glove removes easily with tab on the fourth finger, padding feels like the gel and thinner than I expected. Overall, I would recommend because of the quality and sustainability of the construction and materials used.
Shawn P. Taylor
Have had them for too long, but I already love them. The filling is in the right place and I like that because it is mittens, I can change my iPod with removing them gloves. Also, there is a characteristic little nifty on the ring finger which makes it very easy to get rid the gloves. A very nice design touch. Finally, I am a female of average size and bought the small, which is the perfect size.

It’s tough to give you a review of these SUN sleeves, but I can’t. We haven’t had any sun for me to try these out on since I purchase them at the beginning of the month for my wife and I. I gave my wife the medium and I took the small size….too much IM training? They are extra long which is great since I’m 6’3′ tall and I think circumference size at the top is a little larger than listed. When we get some sun, I will let you know how they workout. These sleeves are just the thing for a hot sunny day when you want to protect your arms from sunburn yet stay cool.

I have not yet worn these out for a run but the fit and quality is surpurb! Can’t wait to try these out.
P. T. Haines
These sleeves work… They protect your arms from the sun’s radiation. They are comfortable to wear in warm to hot weather. I would not recommend them for cold weather riding. The fit is what it should be, with just enough extra length to allow them to cover from under your gloves up past the sleeves of your jersey. There is enough stretch in the fabric for a mild compression feel and more importantly, they stay in place during the longest of rides. The Pearl Izumi logo is discretely visible on the lower forearm, a nice touch of white-on-white styling. I’ve washed them a 1/2 dozen times and they still look great. BTW I use them for road and mountain bike riding and an occasional run. Bottom line, this product works.

I wanted a liner rather than regular shorts. I bought Pearl Izumi Men’s Liner Short principally because it came in my size: 2X. I’m 6’5″ with 26″ thighs from riding a track bike on the street back in the 70s (yep, I’m way ahead of being a trend setter).
I must say I’m impressed. This liner is comfortable with well-designed padding. The stretch is good without being overly snug. The perspiration wicking appears to work as advertized.
I recommend. I will update this review with wear-and-tear information after I’ve washed these things a few times.
Anonymous Shopper
This is nice liner with an adequate chamois. I have it in my regular size of small and could NOT get away with wearing these without an over short.
E. Schubert
Best riding shorts I’ve owned. They don’t bunch up, there’s just enough padding to keep comfortable, but not too much to lose feel.
