I bought this helmet (and another one) for two bikes I’m donating to the Christmas wish-tree’s this year. Not knowing the children the bikes will be going to, I of course don’t know what size helmet to get; all I knew was the bikes I bought were 20″ bikes, so was looking for a helmet that would presumably cover say 8-14 years old.
Took a gamble on this, and luckily in my case, the gamble paid off (for this helmet — not for the other). This helmet is labeled as “Youth, 8+”. 55-57cm (or 21 & 5/8 – 22 & 1/2″).
I really don’t know how many stars to rate this, as the purpose of my rating is more to inform folks what size helmet they are buying. Therefore to be fair, giving it 4-stars. Clearly there are helmets that are better (and far more expensive), but fundamentally this should protect one’s head (if the fit is appropriate).
