Just purchased my first road bike. 2011 Trek 1.1 I will be commuting with this bike among charity rides. So I needed some sort of rack for my bag. This was the ticket. It does it’s job…was an easy install, and is very sturdy for my bike bag. And it was inexpensive…very happy with it.

installed quickly and fits but i’m wishing i had bought a stronger one – it is kind of flimsy
instructions were simple and complete – but no reflector was included as indicated – no biggy
also it doesn’t fit my paniers perfectly but that’s my fault for not buying in a store where i could check
all in all i’m not unhappy enough to return it and not happy enough to give it more than 3 stars

I’m really happy with this rack. It’s strong and sturdy and looks good on my Sun cruiser. I’ve attached rear collapsible baskets(available at Amazon) and a Swagman pod (available at Amazon). It’s strong enough to carry anything I will load on it. Great price for this rack, I highly recommend it.

The hardware I received was defective. i decided to return it. Your hardware might be fine, but if not, you can go to Home Depot and get some new nuts.
The rack itself is pretty standard for this price range. It will do the job. If you are mounting to the seat stays and don’t have eyelets up there, you will need to use the seat stay clamps or p clamps included. In my situation, the p clamps were way to small. I ended up just scratching my bike with them. If your stays are 7/8″ you need to get a cheap set of bigger seat stay clamps from either Delta or a hardware store.

They really should include more compatibility specs in these bike ads to avoid the fuss, return shipping, and heartache. – I’ve just ordered the Delta Ultra Rear Rack with the day bag combo. i also got a set of p clamps that will fit. We’ll see how it goes.
