This is a decent MTB rack. Just basic, nothing fancy.
The only problem I had with it was the included hardware. My bike does not have braze-ons for the upper rack mounting point; so I have to use clamps. The clamps that are include with the rack are to small for a MTN bike. They might might work on a road bike, but the MTN bike frame is to thick to use them. I had to use some larger clamps (size 13) that I had in my stash to mount it on my MTN bike.

Very nice bike rack. Light but stable. As with ever rack I have come in contact with the installation instructions are non-existant but able to get it installed with no extra drilling (have a ~7yr old Raleigh hybrid).

The rack went on easily to my Schwinn 26″ comfort rider. I bought it as a package with the Avenir Excursion Rack-top Bag which is a great combination. The bag provides three outside pockets plus an outside water bottle holder pocket and a tire pump strap-up, all in addition to the inside pocket of the bag which is as long as the rack and has a feature to allow the top to expand upward. The rack fit easily onto my bike frame: On the advice of the bike store person who sold me the kit I attached the forward portion of the rack to the clamp that holds the seat post: holds it steady and solid. Comes with hardware to attach to the bike frame.
Is a nice feature to have, is solid and well made.
